Providing data recovery and repair for disk type portable media
Data Recovery Aid separates all disk type recovery work into two categories. Physical repair describes any media that is actually damaged in some way, be it scratched, cracked or water damage, any problem that requires the media be repaired prior to recovering the data. Anytime you feel your media is physically damaged, we suggest not continuing to attempt to read the media, this can cause additional damage making recovery more difficult and in some cases impossible.
Logical data recovery refers to media that has been accidentally formatted, deleted, suffered a virus attack or has been somehow compromised without the media suffering any type of physical damage. Often Floppy disks, DVDs and CDs will fail to complete the burn process or receive cyclic redundancy check errors. Many of these errors are universal, almost any of the small portable media types can suffer from these problems. In over 90% of these cases we are able to restore the data quickly and cheaply. |
